UH-1D "Huey" Green 800 Size Scale Army Helicopter ARF (Almost Ready to Fly) from Roban - RBN-212MI-8
The UH-1D "Huey" was developed specifically for the U.S. Army as a versatile utility helicopter capable of transporting pilots, gunners, and an infantry squad of ten. With room for up to six stretchers, the UH-1D also became a trusted MEDEVAC platform in combat zones. First delivered to the Army in 1963, over 2,000 of these iconic "Delta" models were built between 1963 and 1966.
This Roban UH-1D 800-size ARF delivers outstanding scale realism and craftsmanship. From tip to tail, the fuselage replicates the shape and surface details of the full-scale aircraft with a level of accuracy rarely seen in the RC helicopter world. The fiberglass fuselage arrives factory-painted with windows installed, all structural bulkheads pre-installed, and fully operational doors. Functional navigation and strobe lights are also included, adding another layer of authenticity.
Inside, the cockpit is fully illuminated and richly detailed, featuring joysticks, rudder pedals, an illuminated dashboard, aerials, windshield wipers, and more. The rear cabin interior is included (uninstalled), with molded floor and ceiling panels ready for assembly. Once installed, the interior creates a fully immersive and true-to-scale look. An optional balance bar upgrade for the rotor head is available (sold separately).
Access is made simple through the sliding side door, which opens to reveal a removable floor panel and battery bay. The mechanics are housed up high in the doghouse, just like in the full-size UH-1D, preserving the spacious interior for additional detailing.
Whether displayed on the ground or flying overhead, the Roban UH-1D impresses with its authentic proportions, surface detailing, and commanding scale presence.

Roban Scale Helicopters are intended for modelers who have advanced level building skills. Both ARF and KIT product formats require you to install your own electronics (ESC, servos, motor, etc). KIT product formats also require you to install your own helicopter mechanics. Because helicopter mechanics can vary greatly in size and shape, you may be required to modify the fuselage slightly (including cutting, drilling, etc.) to achieve a perfect fit. Roban fuselages are all handmade from fiberglass and therefore may have slight variation in tolerances between body panels, doors, or windows. These variations do not affect flight performance and can be easily adjusted by an experienced builder with proper tools. These precautions are intended for novice builders; an experienced modeler should have no issue achieving perfect results with these premiere scale helicopters kits.
